Introduction to Yale SOM
Located in the lively and diverse city of New Haven with easy access to New York City, Boston, and the New England shoreline, Yale School of Management is dedicated to educating leaders for business and society.
Yale SOM’s integrated curriculum is built around engaging with real-world problems and trains students to address broad management challenges, considering how leadership decisions effect organizations, communities, and individuals. The first-year core courses build an understanding of the whole organization. In their second year, students dig deeper to explore courses from Yale SOM and across Yale University. All Yale SOM students also complete a global studies requirement to enhance their international business acumen.
With over 50 student clubs ranging from impact investing to hockey, students have ample opportunities to engage in student groups that align to their professional and personal interests. Clubs provide forums for discussion and opportunities for action, and they foster students' leadership and business skills via consulting engagements, workshops, roundtables, conferences, and fundraisers.
The Yale SOM Career Development Office offers career resources, industry guides, and one-on-one coaching to support current MBA students and alumni in achieving their career goals. Read more about the diverse organizations that hired Yale SOM graduates recently.
