Introduction to Stanford GSB
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Stanford Graduate School of Business offers a unique MBA experience centered around innovation, collaboration, and leadership. Through the Stanford GSB experience, students develop a deep understanding of how their decisions impact the world around them, preparing them to lead with responsibility to society and to their organizations.
The Stanford GSB curriculum is theoretical yet practical. In their first year, Stanford GSB students fulfill core and distributional requirements to build a strong foundation. In the second year, students deepen their expertise through electives and courses at other Stanford schools. The Global Experience requirement is a highlight for many students, immersing themselves in new perspectives, complex social issues, and differing economic systems.
From the Entrepreneur Club to the Improvisational Theater Troupe, Stanford GSB students have access to a vibrant array of activities on campus and within the broader Bay Area. The First Generation & Low-Income Club (FGLI) fosters a community for students who share the same identity. By facilitating meaningful connections and developing allyship programming, the FGLI Club aims to create more influential FGLI advocates among future business leaders.
Stanford GSB’s Career Management Center (CMC) advisors collaborate with students to create customized career plans, develop personal and professional skills, and make strategic decisions to achieve their career goals. Even after graduation, alumni retain access to career services through the CMC.
