Middlebury allows outside aid to replace the student's self-help contribution, which includes the $2,900 work-study expectation. Anything above that amount will replace the Middlebury grant.
Middlebury purchases health insurance for their highest need students. Qualifying students have an Institutional Methodology Expected Family Contribution at or below $2,500.
Middlebury's travel allowance will vary depending on a student's state of origin. The travel allowance ranges from $200 to $1,000 per year.
Middlebury removes the expected student contribution from earnings or savings of $2,400.
In order to keep need-based financial assistance at Middlebury, students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Middlebury requires that all institutional, federal, state and local aid abide by federal methodology and stay within the student's demonstrated need. A student's aid must not exceed the budgeted Cost of Attendance.
