Instructions


  1. Download and read the application checklist and instructions (PDF file).

  2. Review the Selection Criteria for the National College Match.

  3. Research QuestBridge's partner colleges and look over the test requirements and National College Match application requirements for all colleges that you intend on applying to.

  4. Sign up for a QuestBridge account.

  5. Complete the following steps as soon as possible:

    • Open your QuestBridge application and review the questions, especially the essay questions, so that you can begin to think about your responses.

    • Generate recommendation instructions and give them to your recommenders as early as possible, preferably during the first week of school.

      • Open your QuestBridge application and enter information for the two teachers who will write your Teacher Recommendations and the counselor who will write your Secondary School Report.

      • Forms with instructions on how to fill out the online recommendation will appear on your 'My Locker' page. Print out these instruction forms and give them to your teachers and counselor. Your teachers and counselor should fill out their online recommendations following the directions provided in the instructions form.

    • Ask your high school to submit an official copy of your school transcript and standardized test scores via fax to QuestBridge using the designated fax coversheet provided on your 'My Locker' page.

    • Assemble necessary documentation (transcripts, test score reports, most recent tax returns) that you will need to complete the application.

  6. FIll out the online QuestBridge student application.

  7. Submit the QuestBridge application by September 30, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. All of the following elements should be submitted by this deadline:

    • Student application

    • Two Teacher Recommendations

    • Secondary School Report

    • Transcript and test score reports

  8. Rank the colleges that you want to have consider you for admission and the National College Match scholarship. It is important to note that you should only rank the colleges that you are certain you would want to attend if awarded admission and a full scholarship. You may rank as few as zero colleges or as many as 8 of QuestBridge's 26 partner colleges.

  9. Submit your college rankings by October 5, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
