QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship

The College Prep Scholarship awards are designed to prepare students to be competitive applicants to the QuestBridge National College Match program at the start of their senior year. The National College Match connects high-achieving low-income students with admission and full scholarships to QuestBridge’s 25 top-ranked partner colleges. The QuestBridge National College Match program consists of two parts:

The QuestBridge College Match

The College Match pairs outstanding low-income students with early admission and full four-year scholarships to top-ranked colleges.
- College Match scholarships cover tuition, room, and board, worth up to $180,000. All College Match scholarships are loan-free.
- Most QuestBridge partner college include books and travel in their scholarship packages and automatically renew the scholarship for all four years of college.
QuestBridge Regular Decision

Qualified students can also apply to our partner colleges for free via the regular admissions process, using their QuestBridge application. Our application is tailored to enable low-income students to highlight their successes and the obstacles they have overcome.

In 2008:

260 students were offered admission and full 4-year scholarships through the QuestBridge College Match.
800 additional QuestBridge applicants were accepted by our partner colleges through the Regular Decision process with generous financial aid.

Quest Scholars alumni event, Emory University

Students who receive College Match scholarships will join a national community of thousands of Quest Scholars who are as committed to helping others as they are to their own academic excellence and professional aspirations.

When Quest Scholars arrive on campus to begin their freshman year, they will be invited to join the college’s Quest Scholars chapter. The campus chapters are designed as communities where students with similar backgrounds and interests can help one another navigate the opportunities and challenges of life at a selective college.

As alumni progress in college and beyond, they also will have access to the national Alumni Network of thousands of Quest Scholars. Many of these alumni are currently in graduate and professional schools or beginning their careers, and can offer advice and professional connections to help younger Scholars along the way.

New Quest Scholars will in turn be called upon to connect younger students with the same opportunities from which they have benefited. QuestBridge will ask alumni to participate in outreach to outstanding low-income students and to offer guidance to high school juniors and seniors as they navigate the college admissions process.

As QuestBridge extends its program to include partners such as graduate schools and employers, Quest Scholars will have access to the new opportunities that these partnerships will offer.
