Outside Scholarships Outside scholarships up to $1,800 can be used to reduce the work-study earnings contribution. Additional scholarships will be used to reduce the Pomona grant, dollar for dollar. Health Insurance Pomona requires all students to have health insurance, either through a parent or another plan. If student is not covered by a parental plan, the Pomona grant will be increased to cover the cost of the Pomona student health plan. Other Details If needed, Pomona will assist students with travel expenses to and from college each academic year (2 roundtrip tickets). The amount allocated for assistance is based on home of residence and the college’s budgeted expense for travel.
