Scholarship Details

These numbers are based on costs for the 2010-2011 school year. Amounts will change slightly from year to year, but as the cost of college increases, the scholarship packages will correspondingly increase.

Outside Scholarships
The first $1,660 of outside scholarship will be used to reduce the student earnings contribution. Additional scholarship will be used to reduce the Oberlin Grant, dollar for dollar.

Health Insurance
Oberlin requires all students to have health insurance, either through a parent or through the Oberlin Student Health Plan. The Oberlin plan is $833 for the 2010-11 school year.

Other Details
Travel cost will vary based on student location. This expense is subsidized by the summer work contribution.

Federal student loans are optional and may be available up to $5,500, depending on student expenses.
