For high school students applying to the National College Match in 2009
Scholarship DetailsGlossary of terms appearing in scholarship package details
Outside Scholarships Outside scholarships may be used to reduce a student's summer work or work-study contribution. Scholarships in excess of $4,100 will reduce the Bowdoin grant. Health Insurance Bowdoin requires all students to have health insurance, either through their parents or another plan. If student is not covered by a parental plan, the Bowdoin grant will be increased to cover the cost of the Bowdoin College student insurance plan. Other Details Students will have a yearly summer earnings expectation of $2,300. Students are also expected to earn $1,800 in federal work study during each academic year. To the extent that these combined earnings exceed the cost of books, personal expenses, and travel, the difference is paid toward tuition. The expectation for student earnings from summer and campus jobs may be adjusted over time to match the students earning potential.
