- Interested in Business? Washington and Lee has an accredited Business School. At the Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics, students can major in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and Politics.
- Interested in Journalism? Washington and Lee has multiple student-run publications, and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications offers four majors: Broadcast Journalism, Business Journalism, Mass Communications, and Print Journalism.
- Interested in Pre-Law? While there is no pre-law major, Washington and Lee offers pre-law advisors, legal ethics courses, and allows students to enroll in courses at the Law School.

The Washington and Lee academic calendar runs on a "12-12-4" schedule, with a 12 week fall term, a 12 week winter term, and a 4 week spring term. During Spring Term, students take only one course that meets 5 days a week, either on campus or abroad. For more information, click here.
